Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God's spirit. The best way to understand it is looking at what man is made of, remember man was made in the image and likeness of God. Man is a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. More advance than man is the nature of God: God himself, His word and His spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.
Understand that the Holy Spirit is not a piece of furniture in us but divinity given and living within our beings as believers.
The Holy Spirit enables or rather engraces us to do what we cannot ordinarily do as natural men.
It is the Holy Spirit in believers that makes believers extraordinary people.
What does the Holy Spirit do in us and for us?
- ✓ The Holy Spirit reveals God to us:
Ezekiel 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.God is manifested in all fullness to us by the Holy Spirit. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.The Holy Spirit comforts and teaches us, expanding the truths God will have us know by the Spirit of God.
- ✓ The Holy Spirit gives us life.
Ezekiel 37:14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your . own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord. God is saying, you shall live by his Spirit he has placed in you. Do you know that the secret of the long life men lived at the begining of creation was by the spirit of God. Scriptures says: Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.So long life is a benefit of having the Spirit of God. And God's word says he shall place you in your own land, I pray this into manifestation for you in Jesus name, amen, Any and every way you desire your own land recieve it now by the Spirit of God in Jesus name, amen.
- ✓ The Spirit of God sets you upon your feet
The Holy Spirit works in us to will and to do according to His good pleasure, giving us specific assignments per time and empowering us to carry them out Ezekiel 3:24 Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go...Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
- ✓The Holy Spirit enables us to walk in God's ways
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Obedience to divine instruction is needed for a successful walk with God and the Holy Spirit enables us so to do.
Child of God, desire the infilling of the Holy Spirit, Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Having received the Holy Spirit you have power. Always connect with the Holy Spirit and Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
