It is not always possible to see the light at the end of the tunnel when the darkness of your troubles overwhelms you. It’s surprising how quickly your dreams and hopes can slip away when an impossible situation sends you a crushing blow and a troublesome punch right in your face. You tend to panic and wonder “will i ever recover?”
Tough times bring us to a point where our faith can be really tested. It is easier to see God in the brightness of day than it is to trust Him in the darkness of night. Sometimes trouble makes you think that praying to God is nonsense yet it is the cure of a bleeding heart.
You are not going to understand why God allows storms, trials and heartache in your life but that should not make you doubt His love for you.
Our faith is tested in the most difficult school of suffering. During those times when you are facing the furnace of affliction, the sea of trouble and the mountain of despair, remember that it is not a holding place but a resting place. God is keeping you near to His heart and revealing more of Himself to you. It’s only there that you will understand that at the end of suffering, your patience will surely pay and God will surely bless and reward you. Hang on. Don't give up. That too shall pass.
